Beth Phelan represents authors of middle grade, young adult, and select adult fiction (including contemporary romance, suspense/thrillers, and upmarket fiction), as well as the occasional cookbook or pop culture/humor project.

"I am most drawn to voice and emotional resonance in young adult contemporary, rich literary voices in middle grade, and immersive worlds in YA and MG fantasy. I am particularly fond of stories with smart humor and a touch of the bittersweet. For adult fiction, I like complex stories with strong plotting; smart and sexy romance, and female-driven suspense/thrillers with twists that I’d never see coming.

After graduating from New York University, I found my footing as an intern with the Levine Greenberg Literary Agency. Since then, I've held positions at Waxman Leavell Literary and Howard Morhaim Literary Agency. I’ve been with the Bent Agency since September 2013.
