30 dollars,or is this a typo The highest bid right now is 150.
Yes, the last bid was $150--any other bids should be higher than that to count

Not sure whose will be counted but my email was the same listed above - trsarah at gmail.
Yeah, the time stamp says after 6pm for your bid, but we'll see what Angelica says. Either way, lots of money for the kitties!
Okay...Time for a judgement call. There were two bids without the contact included, and one was through Anonymous--I feel like if I disqualify that one, I have to disqualify the other one that came in without a contact. So that puts the last valid bid as Amelia's for $200 at 5:59.
Bidding on this item is now closed! Congratulations, Amelia, you had the winning bid! Please watch for an email from Pens for Paws and respond to it within 24 hours
Woot! Thanks so much, Angelica (again) for doing this!
I included my contact email in my first bid above!
Yes, you did, Sarah--but it should be with each bid. Amelia did include her contact in every bid, except the one I disqualified. It is in the rules, here in the comment fields, and on the How It Works page, that you need to include a contact.
This was a close contest, and I know it can be frustrating to feel like you missed out. :( But I wish you all the best, Sarah, and you can always query Beth.
I really don't understand how my 205 was not counted as the winning bid. I clearly included my contact info in my first bid.
I didn't understand from the rules that each bid needed to have a contact info - just that you needed our contact info so that you can contact me. I reread the directions and I still feel my read of it is valid. Bummer and a half.
Not sure if our comments crossed each other, Sarah, but did you see my comment from :13 above?
I am sorry, Sarah.
Hi Angelica,
Not seeing a place where it says that the contact needs to be included with each bid - just that the contact needs to be included so you can contact the winning bidder, which I took to mean with my first bid. However, although I disagree with your call, I think you run a great organization and program. Kudos.
Thank you for your understanding, Sarah. I can certainly further clarify that part of the rules for future auctions.
But following your own reasoning, Amelia's bid for $230 would be the last valid bid then--the rules do say "Blogger's clock is the cutoff; bids at 9:00 will be honored, but not 9:01 or later."
But stay tuned...I'm talking to Beth now
Okay--Beth has kindly offered another query+1st 30 page critique, so that you can both take advantage of her expertise! Sarah, does that work for you?
Yes, it does!!!!!!!!
That is amazing news. Thank you (Angelica and Beth) both so much!
Glad to hear it, thank you. :) I'll send emails out to both of you.

Bidding on items will close at 9PM EST (by Blogger's timestamp) two days later. Bid comments left after the close will not be counted.
You must include an email address and amount with EACH BID, like
example@fakeaddress.com
$65
so we can contact you to confirm you have the winning bid; if you do not claim your item within 24 hours, it will go to the next highest bidder.
It's okay to disguise your address from bots by using the format
example (at) fakeaddress (dot) com
You'll have one week to make your payment, but you must reply to our email or tweet to claim your item--PLEASE WAIT TO MAKE YOUR PAYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR EMAIL CONFIRMING YOU HAD THE WINNING BID. Payment is to be made through the PayPal button in our sidebar.
Now that the business stuff is out of the way, we look forward to some frantic bidding to support the kitties!
